Dr. Lin is currently a Pew-Stewart Scholar for Cancer Research, an Assistant Professor in the Department of Molecular and Human Genetics, and the Co-Director of the Therapeutic Innovation Center at Baylor College of Medicine. His laboratory studies cancer through the lens of gene control — the way in which genes in the genome are selectively and programmatically turned on and off. Altered gene control is a hallmark of cancer and the Lin laboratory uses computational, molecular, and chemical biology approaches to better understand this process and how it affects tumor cell growth.
