My lab focuses on addressing fundamental mechanisms underlying gene transcriptional regulation and its deregulation in human disease. We in particular focused on the roles and action mechanisms of enhancers and enhancer RNAs in mammalian cells. My past work resulted in over 20 publications, many of which had generated high impact in the field. For example, colleagues and I used a series of genomic/epigenomic methods (e.g. GRO-seq and ChIP-seq) to characterize nuclear receptor regulated nascent RNA landscapes, including that of enhancergenerated RNA (eRNAs) and other long ncRNAs in breast and prostate cancer cells.
