Our goal is to establish a new and well-defined experimental human-derived cellular tool that can serve as a drug testing platform for brain cancers, including glioblastoma. This tool will consist of patient-derived glioblastoma stem cells systematically incorporated within human neural cells that are rapidly derived from pluripotent stem cells. We will also incorporate a method to pace neural activity within the platform which will enable modeling of human brain activity.
