Our bodies are home to different types of bacteria that live with us in harmony, called commensal microbiota. These bacteria can directly affect the success of immune-based cancer treatments like CART therapy. However, we still have limited knowledge about how specific bacteria impact the results of these therapies. By gaining a deeper understanding, we can develop new treatments and improve patient survival rates.
