CPRIT Grantee Essentials - Product Development Research Grantee Training

Join CPRIT for a redesigned and interactive webinar that will help current grantees successfully navigate compliance and reporting requirements. The training will include an overview of essential grantee resources, relevant administrative rule changes, programmatic updates, and a Q&A with staff.

CPRIT’s administrative rule § 703.22 requires all grantees to complete an annual compliance training by December 31 of each year. The Authorized Signing Official (ASO) and at least one other individual from each organization must attend the annual compliance training; however, we encourage all staff who use CPRIT’s grants management system to participate in this training, including Principal Investigators. Attendance at this webinar will satisfy the training requirement for 2022.

PLEASE NOTE: Grantee compliance trainings are program specific. Organizations with grants across multiple programs should attend the training that pertains to the majority of their awards.

Funding Opportunities for Startup and Early-Stage Cancer-Focused Companies

CPRIT invests in startup and early-stage companies in Texas (and those willing to relocate to Texas) to foster development of novel cancer therapeutics, medical devices, diagnostics, tools and other non-traditional oncology products.

Cindy WalkerPeach, PhD, CPRIT’s Chief Product Development Officer, and Rosemary French, MBA, Senior Program Manager provided an overview of each of the upcoming RFAs, including review criteria and application process.

David Shoemaker, PhD, CPRIT Product Development Review Council Vice Chair, and Jim Jordan, MBA, CPRIT Reviewer, provided a reviewer’s perspective on best practices for a successful CPRIT grant application.

CPRIT released three Requests For Applications (RFAs):

  • Texas Company Product Development Research Awards (TXCO)
  • Company Relocation Product Development Research Awards (RELCO)
  • Seed Awards for Product Development Research (SEED)

The application submission portal openes December 1, 2021 and closes January 26, 2022. The review timeline, requirements, and application instructions were posted to the Apply for Funding section of CPRIT’s website.

Clinical Trials Network Awards and Texas Clinical Trials Participation Program Award RFAs

  • Clinical Trials Network Award RFA (R-21.2 CTNA) and
  • Texas Clinical Trials Participation Program Award RFA (R-21.2 TCTPA)
